First Friday AdorationEvery First Friday of the month, St. Ambrose hosts Eucharistic Adoration from 8:30am (after mass) until 11:15am with Benediction. Please come join in prayer for our vocations to religious life.

Prayer ServicesEvery 2nd Thursday of the month, Mother of Perpetual Help Devotions and the Rosary are said at 6:00pm.
Every 3rd Saturday of the month, Ultreya is held at 9:00am, where there is prayer time, witness talk, and sharing time. |

Daughter’s Minutes
February 22, 2024
Meeting called to order & led in prayer by President Linda Yarbro.
Minutes were read and approved.
Treasurer Report read and approved.
Thank you notes read from Luella Kielhofner.
OLD BUSINESS
Bereavement Meals – No meals provided since last meeting. Circle 2 will be in charge of next meal.
Prayer Shawls – Given to Gretchen, Keith & Keran Adams, Jennifer Vandeven & Adella Frank.
Dumplings will be made March 2nd. Diana Knutson has crew prepared to work. Donations made from dumpling profits were: $1,000 towards hymnals and $1,000 towards roof.
Euchre Tournaments were held on Jan. 21 & Feb. 18. We had 12 tables. We are thankful for Thrivent contributions to help with supplies.
Christmas Party was held Dec. 10. Attendees enjoyed a good meal, games & gift exchange. We also drew names for 2024 prayer partners.
T-shirts – Diane Eftink had a sample shirt. We will have order forms in back of church to order shirts. Price is $14.00.
Bible Study went well with 12 attending. Another Bible Study will be offered this fall.
Turbo Clean cleaned the carpets in rectory. All went smoothly & carpets look great.
NEW BUSINESS
Deanery 6 retreat will be held March 16 at St. Denis, Benton. Itinerary includes 9am Mass, registration, breakfast, retreat speaker (Fr. Belken) and meeting to follow.
Gifts will be given for First Communion and any members joining the church
Easter Bake Sale scheduled for March 30. Circle 1 is in charge. All ladies asked to bring a baked good or donate $10.00.
Church Cleaning before Easter will be March 26 at 6pm. All volunteers welcome.
DCCW Spring Assembly will be held April 19-20 at the Drury Lodge, Cape. We will donate a gift basket for the event.
By-Laws were reviewed & amended.
Discussed need for minor repairs to bathroom in the rectory.
Officers – No change.
Next meeting scheduled for Sept. 19th. Room Count was 10. Meeting ended in prayer.

Parish Council Minutes - February 15, 2024
Members Present. Fr. Kelly, Brandy Schaefer, Jake Swinford, Kenny Dohogne, Donnie Reischman.
The meeting opened with a prayer led by Father Kelly.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion to approve the minutes by Donnie Reischman, seconded by Brandy Schafer. Motion Carried.
St. Ambrose School Report:
There are 91 students in school including three new students.
The School is moving into a classical education style model putting studies with religion.
PSR – All is going well. Bible Study is going great. There are a total of 12 participants. We are studying The Presence-The Mystery of the Eucharist.
Youth: Bringing lots of kids to the Steubenville conference which is the second weekend of July.
10 youth were present for movie night on Mother Theresa.
Sunday March 3rd will be Faith and Floats.
DYC Youth Conference April 19th-20th.
The Financial Report was presented.
Maintenance Repair – Changing bulbs in Church.
Cemeteries – There is a new lead stone for the cemetery.
Liturgy & Worship:
Holy Saturday Mass will be at 8:00 P.M. at Guardian Angel.
Good Friday Stations at Noon at St. Ambrose. Divine Mercy Chaplet at Oran at 3pm and Good Friday Liturgy at Oran at 7pm.
Holy Thursday Mass at 7:00 P.M. at St. Ambrose.
There are ten entering for Guardian Angel.
Father is trying to start having a prayerful time after mass.
During Lent there will be night prayer on various Sundays throughout Lent at Guardian Angel.
The last weekend of April will be the 40 hours devotion.
There will be Summer classes on the Mass and Vatican 2.
Social:
Alumi Volleyball went well.
Maybe sometime during Lent having a movie night showing “The Passion”
Men’s bible study on the Church Fathers 50-60 present.
Home and School doing a joint get together in April between Guardian Angel & St. Ambrose.
Parish Picnic – not decided on date yet-maybe end of summer.
