First Friday AdorationEvery First Friday of the month, St. Ambrose hosts Eucharistic Adoration from 8:30am (after mass) until 11:15am with Benediction. Please come join in prayer for our vocations to religious life.

Prayer ServicesEvery 2nd Thursday of the month, Mother of Perpetual Help Devotions and the Rosary are said at 6:00pm.
Every 3rd Saturday of the month, Ultreya is held at 9:00am, where there is prayer time, witness talk, and sharing time. |

Daughters Meeting
October 16, 2025
Meeting called to order and led in prayer by president Linda Yarbro
Minutes read and approved. Treasurer report read and approved.
OLD BUSINESS
*Bereavement- No dinners since last meeting. Circle 1 will be in charge of next bereavement meal.
*Prayer Shawls- given to Trent Pennington family, Fr. Randy, and Bob Ross
*Dumplings- Plans are being made to make dumplings on Oct 18, Nov 1, and Nov 8.
*Little Flowers-Next meeting will be Oct 22. Food has been arranged and ladies will serve the meal.
*Altar clothes-Alice has given measurements to father and he will get back to us after he consults the Benedictine Nuns about making them.
NEW BUSINESS
*Pocket prayer quilts-pocket prayer quilts are being made and will be distributed to all members of the parish after Mass in the near future.
*Deanery 6 Meeting-Diane Eftink attended and reported on the meeting at Jackson. Janice Burger is the new President of Deanery 6. Next Deanery 6 meeting will be at Leopold school on Nov 18.
*Helping hands-we will be collecting hats and gloves again this year. We will begin collecting in November.
*Christmas party- Daughters Christmas party will be December 7. Circle 5 will be in charge. Daughters will pay for meat, Circle5 will plan festivities and bring desserts. Other members will bring side dishes. Watch bulletin for more details as time draws near.
*Fruit baskets for shut ins- Sharon will pick up items for baskets, we will assemble the baskets at Christmas party.
*DCCW & Deanery 6 dues- Motion made seconded and approved to pay any dues.
*Christmas gifts-Motion made seconded and approved for gifts for Father and Seminarian.
Next regular meeting scheduled for Feb 19.

Parish Council Minutes – March 31, 2025
Members Present: Diane Eftink, Father Kelly, Donnie Reischman, Jake Swinford, and Kenny Dohogne.
The meeting opened with a prayer by Father Kelly.
Minutes of the previous reading were read. Motion to approve the minutes by Donnie Reischman, seconded by Jake Swinford. Motion Carried.
St. Ambrose School Report:
The Last Day of School is May 21, 2025.
Bobbie Holland the 5th and 6th Grade teacher will not be returning next year. Applications are being accepted.
The Classroom sponsorship is continuing.
Father is still doing the manners & etiquette with students.
PSR:
Is going well. The last day of PSR is April 2, 2025. All is going well with Bible study.
Youth:
Confirmation is Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 5:00 P.M.
A few students are going to Steubenville.
A few students are going to the Regional youth events.
Cemeteries:
Gary McClain will be mowing the Cemeteries this summer.
Social:
Father will be doing a Summer Catechesis in late May or early June and will have Mass on Wednesday at 5:30 followed by a meal and the Catechesis class.
There will be a Parish Picnic for St. Ambrose and Guardian Angel on April 27 at Guardian Angel, Father is going to ask different groups from the Parishes to help with the cost of the main dish.
Father Kelly’s 10th Anniversary is coming up on June 12, 2025 and will have a Mass and meal at the KC Hall in Oran. All are invited.
Liturgy & Worship:
Father advised that the Passion of Christ will be shown on Palm Sunday in the Guardian Angel Gym at 6:00 P.M.
40 hours Devotion will be May 16th to the 18th at Guardian Angel.
Discussion was heard on having a 40 hours Devotion at St. Ambrose this fall.
Father would like to do a Marian Consecration Parish Wide for St. Ambrose and Guardian Angel. The Consecration Day will be on August 15th.
Father is planning a Mother’s Day fundraiser selling carnations. Any student purchasing the flowers for their Mother would process in with Father and place the flowers on Our Lady’s altar at all the weekend Masses.
Father advised that David Glueck made the Communion kneelers in church and Bob Uhrhan made the kneeling pads.
Father will do an intinction for the 1st Communion students.
Easter Books – Father advised that Guardian Angel will purchase Easter books titled: “How to Converse with God” by St. Alphonsus and will have some for St. Ambrose.
There will be three from St. Ambrose entering the Church.
Diane Eftink mentioned that the terms of Donne Reischman and Kenny Dohogne are up on the Parish Council. Father will take care of this, this Summer.
The next meeting will be May 15th at 6:00 P.M.
