First Friday AdorationEvery First Friday of the month, St. Ambrose hosts Eucharistic Adoration from 8:30am (after mass) until 11:15am with Benediction. Please come join in prayer for our vocations to religious life.

Prayer ServicesEvery 2nd Thursday of the month, Mother of Perpetual Help Devotions and the Rosary are said at 6:00pm.
Every 3rd Saturday of the month, Ultreya is held at 9:00am, where there is prayer time, witness talk, and sharing time. |

Daughter’s Meeting
March 2, 2025
Meeting called to order and opening prayer led by President, Linda Yarbro.
Minutes from last meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer’s Report was given and approved.
OLD BUSINESS
Next bereavement Circle 3 will be in charge.
Prayer shawls given to David Glueck.
Dumplings profit to date $10731.50.
Euchre Tournament held on Jan. 26 had a profit of $371.50. February tournament was cancelled due to weather. After discussion motion was made to discontinue Euchre tournaments because of shortage of help and small profit. If not for money given by trivent for supplies, we would not made anything.
Daughters will supply light meal for the Little Flowers group that meets at St. Ambrose once a month in March and April.
NEW BUSINESS
Daughters were asked to pay registration fee for one student to go to Steubenville. Men’s Club had paid for 6 students.
Deanery 6 March Retreat will be Saturday, March 22 at St. Augustine, Kelso.
DCCW Spring Assembly will be April 25 & 26 in Springfield. Taking the Immaculate Conception, Jackson bus. If interested in going contact Doris Eftink from Oran.
Easter Bake Sale will be Saturday, April 19. Circle 2 is in charge. Circle heads will be calling for a baked item or $10.00 donation.
Updating Circle members phone numbers. If you know any phone numbers that need corrected, please contact your circle head.
Annual Church Cleaning will be Tuesday, April 15 at 6pm. High school age boys & girls, men & women are asked to help. Betty is going to check about having the church carpets cleaned.
Rosaries for the three entering the church at Easter will be purchased. Also book marks for the First Communicants.
Confirmation Retreat will be on Saturday, May 3 and Confirmation is scheduled for Sunday, June 22 at 5pm.
FATHER’S REPORT
This Thursday we are hosting a Holy Face of Jesus relic at St. Ambrose with Mass at 5:30pm with veneration of the relic after.
On the evening of Palm Sunday there will be a showing of Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ”. Time and place to be determined.
A joint parish picnic is being planned for Sunday, April 27th after the 10:30am Mass at Guardian Angel. Meal in school gym with St. Ambrose vs Guardian Angel softball game afterwards! Divine Mercy holy hour with confessions at 3pm the same day at Guardian Angel.
40 Hours Devotion is the weekend of May 16-18 at Guardian Angel
The new Communion kneelers in church (built by David Glueck) will be introduced and explained this weekend. This is part of the Eucharistic Revival to emphasize the presence of Christ in the Eucharist and to help us to experience a more reverent and respectful reception of Jesus in Holy Communion.
Room Count was 7.

Parish Council Minutes – March 31, 2025
Members Present: Diane Eftink, Father Kelly, Donnie Reischman, Jake Swinford, and Kenny Dohogne.
The meeting opened with a prayer by Father Kelly.
Minutes of the previous reading were read. Motion to approve the minutes by Donnie Reischman, seconded by Jake Swinford. Motion Carried.
St. Ambrose School Report:
The Last Day of School is May 21, 2025.
Bobbie Holland the 5th and 6th Grade teacher will not be returning next year. Applications are being accepted.
The Classroom sponsorship is continuing.
Father is still doing the manners & etiquette with students.
PSR:
Is going well. The last day of PSR is April 2, 2025. All is going well with Bible study.
Youth:
Confirmation is Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 5:00 P.M.
A few students are going to Steubenville.
A few students are going to the Regional youth events.
Cemeteries:
Gary McClain will be mowing the Cemeteries this summer.
Social:
Father will be doing a Summer Catechesis in late May or early June and will have Mass on Wednesday at 5:30 followed by a meal and the Catechesis class.
There will be a Parish Picnic for St. Ambrose and Guardian Angel on April 27 at Guardian Angel, Father is going to ask different groups from the Parishes to help with the cost of the main dish.
Father Kelly’s 10th Anniversary is coming up on June 12, 2025 and will have a Mass and meal at the KC Hall in Oran. All are invited.
Liturgy & Worship:
Father advised that the Passion of Christ will be shown on Palm Sunday in the Guardian Angel Gym at 6:00 P.M.
40 hours Devotion will be May 16th to the 18th at Guardian Angel.
Discussion was heard on having a 40 hours Devotion at St. Ambrose this fall.
Father would like to do a Marian Consecration Parish Wide for St. Ambrose and Guardian Angel. The Consecration Day will be on August 15th.
Father is planning a Mother’s Day fundraiser selling carnations. Any student purchasing the flowers for their Mother would process in with Father and place the flowers on Our Lady’s altar at all the weekend Masses.
Father advised that David Glueck made the Communion kneelers in church and Bob Uhrhan made the kneeling pads.
Father will do an intinction for the 1st Communion students.
Easter Books – Father advised that Guardian Angel will purchase Easter books titled: “How to Converse with God” by St. Alphonsus and will have some for St. Ambrose.
There will be three from St. Ambrose entering the Church.
Diane Eftink mentioned that the terms of Donne Reischman and Kenny Dohogne are up on the Parish Council. Father will take care of this, this Summer.
